The movie Demon Slayer:Kimetsu no Yaiba was released on Oct.16 2020 and it has been a smash hit in Japan.
Although there are concerns about COVID-19, many people are going to movie theater to see this movie.
The movie had pulled in around 4.6 billion Yen (almost 44 million dollar) for the first three days.
It has earned over 32.4 billion Yen on December 28.
That is the highest grossing film ever in Japan.
My son who just turned 8 years old recently, loves Demon Slayer like most of the kids in Japan.
However, he has not seen the movie yet because of the concern for the COVID-19.
Instead, he got this cake for his birthday.
Collaborated products I bought for my son
Demon Slayer has been overwhelmingly popular in Japan right now and many companies have produced collaborated products.
I am going to introduce some of the things I bought for my son.
Cup noodle collaborating with Demon Slayer
This cup noodle has a cover sepcially design for Demon Slayer.
It was said that the company had doubled their sales in October compare to the same month in last year because of the collaboration with Demon Slayser.
Canned Coffee collaborating with Demon Slayer
Canned Coffee company DyDo made great profit from the collaboration with Demon Slayer.
They are selling 28 different design cans.
I showed this canned coffee to my son before I drunk it by myself.
He is too young to drink coffee.
Mask collaborating with Demon Slayer
Tanjiro Mask
Nezuko Mask
We can’t go anywhere without a mask these days.
I bought Tanjiro Mask for my son and Nezuko Mask for my daughter.
My daughter who is just 4 years old does not know much about Demon Slayer, but she loves the mask.
A toy that I will not buy
The Demon Slayer toy sword (Nichirin-Tou DX) has been the hot item for these days.
The toy has become so popular, it has been sold out at many stores.
Parents have a hard time to find the toy at their local toy stores.
Some of them choose to buy the toy sword from a scalper by online at a higher prices.
I am sure that Santa Claus will have a hard time to prepare the presents for those Japanese kids who want the toy sword.
Luckily, my son isn’t interested in the toy sword.
He will get Pokemon card for the Christmas present.
